Join in the celebrations with the Bournemouth Flying Club
as together with the Red Arrows they celebrate
the 25th. Anniversary of theRoyal Air Force Aerobatic Display Team.
The arrival of the Red Arrows Hawk aircraft heralds the beginning of a remarkable day.
Following engine shut-down, the Reds show a group of young disabled people round their
aircraft, explaining the nuts and bolts , shaking hands, signing pictures and answering numerous questions from these enthusiastic admirers.
This is then followed by a reception for the Reds and the Boys in Blue inside the BFC Clubroom with presentations all round and accompanying joviality.
The band strikes up the at the close of day in the A & G Hangar for all to dance and chat.
An auction of two Anniversary cakes raise much needed funds for
the Childrens’ Ward at Poole Hospital.
Presentations, a few words and the March Past of WWII Veterans completes this memorable evening.
Following our visit to Poole Hospital to hand over the cakes and a cheque, the film returns to Bournemouth Airport to watch the Red Arrows start up and departure.
