2006 Update
The
Rodlease ponies have had a wonderful year both with ridden and in-hand
classes.

May was just a yearling when we took on the stud and always known as
‘Little May’
and never perhaps singled out as a great show winner at that
time.
However, I always had an inkling that she would make an excellent
Working Pony .

We showed her very lightly in-hand and had a very
respectable win at the Breed Show in the small yearling filly class.
As a two and three year old she would always be in the rosettes but
not an outright winner. As a four year old she began to show real
potential and a lovely attitude towards ridden work- with only one
previous ridden show under her belt she was entered at the breed show
purely for the experience. She gave such a good account of herself
that she in fact won the small novice ridden class from some 20 other
entries.
Through
the winter Andrew introduced May to jumping , joining in all of my
Riding Club gridwork sessions
as well as attending Cindy Sim’s WHP
clinic run by the club.
May’s style in the jumping pictures show just how beneficial the
correct start with gridwork proved to be.
Through
the summer our predictions re her suitability for ‘workers’ have
been proved correct with her not only qualifying for the Sealskin
Novice M&M WHP finals but finishing 2nd in the
championships at Malvern.
Rodlease
Jubilation now four years old is developing into a
lovely riding pony,
enjoying forest rides and the occasional ridden class for the
experience.

She has also continued to be very consistent
when shown in hand despite now being in with the ‘grown ups’.
Her most recent win was at the NPS Championships at Malvern and
a couple of Reserve Championships to her credit
